Blessings in a Backpack
Over $50,000 has been raised in the past three years to help MDPS fulfill its mission by serving families one student at a time. Blessings is a Backpack serves students by providing food for the weekends.
Cranbrook Science Institute
From hands-on science experiments to taking a trip through the stars at the planetarium, MDPS is excited for the exclusive partnership we have with Cranbrook.
Gleaners Community Food Bank
MDPS has partnered with Gleaners Community Food Bank to rid southeastern Michigan of hunger by offering Mobile Food Pantry each month.
GM Student Corps
Student Corps provides high school students with paid internships and the opportunity to give back to their neighborhoods through community improvement projects they plan and complete themselves
Google CS First
MDPS is proud to partner with Google to offer computer science curriculum for students in grades 4-8. Game design, story-telling and animation are just a few of the classes to be taught.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity believes all should have decent and affordable housing and through a partnership with MDPS, Habitat is working to repair old homes for new ownership.

The Manhood Project
The Manhood Project is a leadership development program for young men that focuses on improving behavior, developing social skills and leadership development.
